Import and export
QuickBooks data
DFM can export or import almost any type of QuickBooks
data from lists such as customers, vendors, items to
transactions like sales receipts, invoices, bills,
checks, journal entries. You can use DFM to automate any
manual data entry in QuickBooks.
Add new data or update
data in QuickBooks
You can choose to add new records only or add new as
well as update any existing data in QuickBooks so you do
not have duplicates in your QuickBooks file. This is
particularly useful for working with customer or item
data where you want to make modifications.
Supports many data formats
DFM can transfer data from text files - comma-separated
(CSV) or tab-delimited formats, XL file, MS Access
database or any other SQL database. When working with
text files, DFM gives you flexibility in file layout.
You can choose the field layout in any order that is
appropriate for you.
eZee wizard
The menu in the software makes it easy to setup the
export/import process. A wizard walks you through the
setup, step by step asking you to make appropriate
selections. DFM has the power of flexibility, yet it is
easy to use.
Comprehensive field
mapping
While you can work with the default setup for
common tasks, advanced users will appreciate the data
manipulations that are made possible by DFM. You can
have the system do simple calculations on numeric data
or put together text data with appropriate comma
separator.
Batch processing
Group multiple export/import jobs into one batch and run
them in sequence so that the entire batch can run
unattended. For example, if you use a billing system
outside QuickBooks and simply need to update QuickBooks
once daily, setup a batch with 2 jobs - first to create
new or update customers and second to record the
invoices in QuickBooks for those customers. When you run
the batch, DFM will do both the import jobs one after
another.
Logging exceptions
Every time you import/export QuickBooks data,
DFM maintains a log noting how many records were added,
updated or deleted in QuickBooks. From time to time, you
can review the log to see if any data was rejected by
QuickBooks and handle exceptions manually.
QuickBooks import/export
on a schedule
Setup your interface one time and set it to run on a
schedule - every evening at 6pm, once a week, monthly
etc. The system runs the job automatically and results
are available in the log for your review.
